Since 1971, people have enjoyed coming to Pierce's Pitt for delicious, hickory-smoked, Tennessee-style Bar-B-Que made with "Doc" Pierce's Original Bar-B-Que Sauce. It all started when Julius C. (Doc) Pierce set out from Flat Creek, Tennessee for Virginia with his family and their prized bar-b-que sauce recipe. Once there, he settled in Williamsburg and opened Pierce's Pitt. The rest, as they say, is history. Now, wherever there's good times, good laughs and good eatin', Pierce's is often part of it. Whether it's in our restaurant, at a party or event we've catered, or when someone has bar-b-qued at home using "Doc" Pierce's Original Bar-B-Que Sauce. It's more than great food ... it's a great tradition ... one that all our customers enjoy. In fact, we like to think it's made Virginia a better place to live and visit.

Great pick up set up yesterday. Order was perfect and I really appreciated the safe environment you set up for pick up with your employees wearing masks. Very sorry they to be exposed to the few people who walked up to them without masks. I would support no mask, no service at your restaurant. I'll be back.

Really good barbecue, and fast! And the coleslaw was excellent as well. My dad and I got a rack of ribs and a pint of slaw to share and were not disappointed. They use hardwood from the taste of it, different from much of the bbq around where I live. The ribs were meaty and well sauced, and cooked low and slow. And service was fast, we went from order to eating in maybe 8 minutes! A worthwhile stop!

Great burgers for sure but this review isnâ€™t just about the burgers. I ordered from, Uber Eats and let me tell you... hands down these folks wrapped (packaged) my food so tight that there was NO WAY anyone could mess in it between the restaurant! I VERY VERY much appreciate that. Quality food made by quality people. Thank you!!

No, they do not have chix livers.

They tried to expand to Richmond & Norfolk, but it didn't work because of having the smokehouse next door to their facility. Something got lost in their production process. Why ruin the good thing in Williamsburg.
